Risk taking

This week I learned about taking risks. If you want to accomplish anything in life you must take risks. Experimenting is an easier term to use. It isn't as scary. Also, every time you experiment with something or take a risk and fail you can at least fail forward. You will learn something every time a new thing is tried. Every time you take that new piece of information you have learned and apply it to the next day/ experiment/project/ et cetera, you will be failing forward. In a sense you're not failing at all but learning line upon line, precept by precept.

This week I was able to speak my feelings. This was a big risk but was needed. I was able to for the most part, fix things with my sister. I'm sure that only time will be able to fix the rest but we made huge progress this week. It was very interesting.

This class is really about learning new points of view and new ways of thinking. This is what I have been dealing with my sister this week. When we have an idea stuck in our head about how the world is or functions then that is the only way that we can see the world. As we learn and experience things it changes our focus or perception. sometimes when we experience things in our childhood or even in adult hood it create a sort of tint on our view that is difficult to see past or to remove because it is so engrained in our belief. I've worked really hard to remove and replace some of my old beliefs with positive outlooks and to think that not everything must be hard, most things are easy, it is our fear that makes them "look" hard. "I deserve joy."
